Melinda Carmichael, Flowers & Forest, LLC Co-Founder & Executive Director Emeritus, Beech Creek Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve

Melinda co-owned a successful horticulture business for 31 years. This is where she 1st gained her experience with floral and garden design, basket weaving, crafting projects from nature and teaching workshops. She quickly realized that she loved teaching others and especially enjoyed witnessing the joy and satisfaction of class attendees when they realized the success of their finished projects.

Melinda has a passion for educating others about the vital role and connection that nature and the health of our environment has on our quality of life. This passion became the driving force to start her journey in 1999 to develop the non-profit organization Beech Creek Botanical Garden & Nature Preserve.

Now semi-retired, Melinda is focusing on teaching others through hands-on workshops and presentations, designing gardens and garden consulting. To assist her with this journey she has started a new business, Flowers & Forest, LLC.
