As soon as you complete your application you will be mailed a Swiss visa card. You will then have to wait four months from the time that you submitted your program until you're able to apply for residency in Switzerland by travel to the country. There are a number of things that you must do before you go to Switzerland including providing work authorization and demonstrating your identity.
