Duvalier J. Malone

He has dedicated his life to motivating, enhancing and refining the hidden success stories within communities across the country. His work places him squarely on the front lines regarding the issues of equal rights and equal opportunities for all. Mr. Malone’s work has been featured in the USA Today, the Clarion-Ledger, the Jackson Free Press, News One, ABC, and various other news outlets. His opinion columns establish him as a cutting-edge thinker and intellectual, one deeply concerned with finding solutions to the problems which our country faces. When people want action, they call Duvalier Malone. After successfully organizing a Youth Outreach program in 2012, he was presented with the Southwest Mississippi Humanitarian Award, and the keys to the city of Natchez, Mississippi. In 2013, he hosted the first installment of the Mississippi Leadership & Vision Roundtable forum, where community and state leaders came together to discuss the state's education rates, economic development projects and mentorship programs for the youth. Also in 2013, Mr. Malone filmed a documentary on the Mississippi Delta called “Clarksdale at the Crossroad”. For the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, he interviewed special guest and Civil Rights icon, Congressman John Lewis. In 2013, the Jackson Free Press magazine featured Mr. Malone as Person of the Day in recognition of his community service projects throughout the state of Mississippi. In 2014, the Jackson Expose Magazine also recognized Mr. Malone's many community service projects in a special feature. In February of 2017, he organized the “We Demand Justice Rally for Emmett Till” in his home state of Mississippi after the woman who accused Emmett of whistling at her admitted to lying.

He has traveled across the country as a speaker at high schools, churches, communities, and universities. He was featured in Who's Who Among Executives and Professionals in 2011, Who's Who in Black Mississippi in 2012 and Mississippi Business Journal's Top 50 under 40 Business Leaders in 2016.  Mr. Malone has a B.A. in Political Science from Alcorn State University, and he graduated from Jackson State University with a Master's Degree in Political Science.

He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the NAACP, Young Government Leaders, Young Government Leaders, Association of Political Science and the Association of Public Administrators.

Mr. Malone released his first book this April entitled “Those Who Give a Damn” A Manual For Making a Difference. He currently resides in Washington, DC with his partner, Dr. Adrian Mayse and their dog, Guy.
