Drama Impact
David Houston is an Actor/Director/Producer and founder of 'Drama Impact Theatre Company'. The Company produce theatre, and open-air theatre during the summer both in both classical and contemporary styles. Drama Impact also delivers GCSE text peformances and interactive workshops into secondary education.
In 2021 Drama Impact produced a sell out tour of Shakespeare's 'Twelfth Night' with performances as far afield as Hoveton Hall in Norwich to the Brighton Fringe festival, our largest open-air tour to date. In 2019 we produced 'Much Ado About Nothing' again with sell out audiences including venues such as; London Scoop ampitheatre, where we attracted the largest audience of 650 as part of the comedy season. We also produced an adaptation of 'An Insepctor calls' and performed at the Bradford Literary Festival in 2018 with a number of plays including Macbeth which sold out at the 900 seater Alhambra Theatre, Bradford.
This summer our open-air tour has grown even further with a thirty date performance scheduled with the controversial 'Macbeth'.
Drama Impact produced a popular mini tour of 'A Christmas Carol' in 2018 and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' during the summer. As well as performance and educational workshops the Company has worked closely with 'The Prince's Teaching Institute', London, training secondary school teachers in how to engage students studying GCSE English dramatic texts.
