District 36 Toastmasters is a thriving community of over 135 clubs and more than 2,000 members spanning all of Washington, D.C., and parts of western and southern Maryland, including Montgomery, Frederick, and Prince George’s Counties.

Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds — including government, international organizations, universities, students, researchers, and private sector professionals. We offer a supportive environment to build confidence in communication, leadership, and public speaking through Toastmasters International’s globally recognized education program.

We host a variety of events, including speech contests, workshops, professional development seminars, leadership summits, and community open houses. Whether your goal is to prepare for a future leadership role, work collaboratively on a team, or simply sharpen your skills, we believe the best way to learn is by doing — and by receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback from a like-minded community committed to growing and inspiring together.
