Dillon Lecture Series

The Dillon Lecture Series at Hutchinson Community College was created in 1981 to honor community leaders Ray and Stella Dillon. The purpose of the series is to provide an

out-of-classroom educational experience for the youth of this community and at the same time enable the citizens of Reno County to hear outstanding lecturers. They encompass a
diverse variety of topics and professions. The Dillon Lecture Series Committee selects three to four
speakers each year. Some notable lecturers in the Series' past include Maya Angelou, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Capt. Scott Kelly, and Dr. Rick Rigsby.

The series is funded by patron membership and corporate sponsorship. Students of all ages are admitted to the lecture free of charge. Community members who are not patrons of
the Series can purchase tickets at the door for each event.

Hutchinson Community College is committed to providing access and reasonable accommodation
in its services, programs, activities, education and employment for individuals
with disabilities. To request accommodation for a lecture, please call 620-665-3505 or
e-mail DLSrsvp@hutchcc.edu at least five business days prior to the lecture.

The Dillon Lecture Series is a non-profit organization. A portion of the patron membership is tax deductible.
