Decode Work of the Future
DECODE is the largest think tank for students and alumni, focusing on the future of work. Our mission is achieved through 3 main pillars: thought leadership events, industry-driven research and publications, as well as immersive experiences. With roots from UC Berkeley and Stanford and as a 501(c)(3), we aim to provide a platform where students and working professionals can be better adapt to changes in work, workplaces and workforces, as a result of exponential technologies and digital transformation at companies.
For the past 6 years, DECODE has featured speakers at the forefront of technology, innovation and entrepreneurship from around the world, including founders and executives from Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Google, Netflix, Reddit, Tesla, Twitch, Y Combinator and Zoom, with the latest conference reaching 1.4M+ views globally. Notable speakers include Eric Yuan (CEO & Founder of Zoom), Astro Teller (CEO of Google X), Brian Behlendorf (Former CTO of the World Economic Forum), Sal Khan (CEO and Founder of Khan Academy) and Michael Seibel (CEO of Y Combinator) among others.
DECODE also offers a 2-unit entrepreneurship course at UC Berkeley for undergraduate and graduate students every semester, where we bring in guest lecturers including entrepreneurs, VCs as well as top tech executives to share their insights with students and aspiring founders. DECODE alumni including past students and volunteers have gone on to renowned companies including a16z, Accel, GGV, Sequoia, Y Combinator, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bain, McKinsey, Airbnb, Amazon, Apple, Binance, ByteDance, Facebook, Google, and NASA among others.
