DASH Network

DFW Asylum Seeker Housing (DASH) Network

Our Mission:

"In response to the compassionate and welcoming love of Jesus, DASH Network exists to love asylum seekers by serving their physical and relational needs."

Asylum Seeker:

Someone who has fled from persecution (due to their race, religion, nationality, or membership of a particular social group or political opinion), and is requesting asylum status, awaiting the determination.

In Texas, it often takes over 2 years or more before they receive their work permit and they are not eligible for any government social services.

We are still the ONLY organization in DFW for housing asylum seekers as they wait.

Our Services:

This is done through host families for single women and sometimes mothers with children, apartments for families, and a group apartment for single men.

This is done through food volunteers and partnerships with food banks.

This is done through an advocate program, big and small events, weekly asylum seeker meetings, and organic partnerships with local churches.

Current State:

After almost 5 years as a ministry of a local church, we have now become an independent non-profit.

We consist of 3 directors (1.5 on staff), about 100 volunteers, and dozens of individual donors, that provide for up to 24 asylum seekers at a time.

We are completely funded by individual contributors like you!

98% of our asylum seekers are launched into financial independence within 5-7 months after they receive their work permit.

Our Vision:

Our vision is to expand to solve the entire housing and isolation crisis of asylum seekers in DFW and to help other groups across the nation begin asylum seeker housing ministries in their own cities.

We need your help, and we can't do this without you! Join us!
