Led by Co-founder and Artistic Director Julie Nakagawa, DanceWorks Chicago is a creative incubator fostering diverse, next gen movers and makers. Young artists are empowered to cultivate their unique voices in the dance community through skill acquisition and development; collaborations and relationship-building with a global perspective; intense and intentional mentorship; and performances that shine a light on dancers and dance. We fundamentally trust that the inclusion of different perspectives and ideas will unearth a standard of creativity and innovation that cannot be achieved by one.
