Chloe Williams
Chloe Williams is an author, organizer, coordinator, and host in Northern California. As a Sacramento native, Chloe debuted in the art scene at just 15 years old as a high school intern at the Sol Collective, and eventually a competitor in the local youth slam competition. Her first poem was published in 2014 on Elephant Journal, and Chloe continued to publish her work as well as perform live, featuring at iconic Northern California venues like Luna Cafe, Sacramento Poetry Center, SoFar Sounds, Neck of the Woods, Cornerstone Berkley, and more.
In 2020, Chloe published her debut book, Opus, on Amazon's Kindle platform and has maintained a 5 star rating over the years and continues to receive glowing reviews for her first body of work. Williams aims to restore the Sacramento art scene she grew up in while implementing innovation and strategy to create equity within the community. After two demonstration showcases, Williams was awarded a $10k grant by Grant Makers for Girls of Color and sponsorship from Light House Black Girl Projects to continue her community building work via Opus Open Mic.
OOM aims to uplift and celebrate the storytelling and talent of girls, women and gender expansive people of color in the Sacramento art scene. To keep up with Chloe's work and press for Opus Open Mic, subscribe to her LinkTree.
