Carol is an experienced teacher and has been making and researching corn dollies for many years. She is also a medieval musical re-enactor playing hurdy gurdy and an assortment of wind instruments with the Kent band Rough Musicke and part of a team providing education and training in a variety of crafts at the Sandwich Medieval Centre. She is a member, editor and the information officer for, the Guild of Straw Craftsmen and is a holder of their Craftsman's Award. She is also a Member of the Basketmakers' Association and the Heritage Crafts Association where corn dolly making is officially listed as at the risk of extinction!
