The very first ever organized attempt at creating an Italian travel law was rejected by the European Union at 2020. Italy compared the movement since it believed that the union's suggestion on free motion was unfair rather than balanced. This resulted in another rejection, which arrived in the form of a plan to get a frequent border. Italy still feels that it needs to take measures to secure its interests in the wake of the recent migration crisis.
