Legato Vocal Ensemble, Inc.
Legato Vocal Ensemble (LoVE) is a culturally rich and vocally dynamic group led by its primary ensemble based in the United States, with a vibrant extension in The Bahamas that joins for special occasions. Despite differences in geography and culture, the two groups are united by a deep love for God, music, and family—creating a powerful, harmonious sound that transcends borders.
Founded by musical visionary Antonia "Ms. Toni" Wilson, LoVE brings together a diverse array of voices and personalities. Ms. Wilson draws inspiration from this rich mix to compose and arrange stunning original works across a wide range of genres, including classical, gospel, rap, R&B, hip-hop, jazz, soul, and rock. Her creative brilliance shines in her ability to blend these styles seamlessly, giving LoVE a distinctive and genre-defying sound that sets them apart as one of the most versatile vocal ensembles in South Florida.
While the U.S. ensemble forms the core of the group’s musical and creative output, the Bahamian members add their own vibrant energy and cultural depth, collaborating joyfully during concerts and special projects. The mutual respect and excitement between both groups enrich every performance, turning each gathering into a celebration of love and unity through music.
LoVE has performed internationally in Mexico, Spain, and The Bahamas, and has shared the stage with renowned gospel and secular artists including Byron Cage, Earnest Pugh, Cece Winans, Ben Tankard, and Barry Ivan White.
Their discography includes standout collaborations such as No Man's Land featuring Joss Stone and Jeff Beck, and two full-length CD projects—Me & Hymn and The Sower & the Seed Featuring Joss Stone—all composed and arranged by Ms. Wilson. In 2023, their Christmas single If Jesus Was Born in Nassau Town, written by Audrey Florence Dean-Wright and arranged by Ms. Wilson, was nominated for Traditional Song of the Year by the Bahamas Gospel Music Awards.
Most recently, their piece Bahamian Wake Medley by Antonia Wilson & the Legato Vocal Ensemble, featuring Marguerite Samuel, won the award for Outstanding Traditional Recording – Group or Duo at the 2025 Marlin Caribbean Gospel Music Awards.
Looking ahead, LoVE is preparing for an ambitious double CD release featuring both a cappella and fully orchestrated versions of original works and well-loved songs.
More than just an award winning musical group, LoVE is a mission-driven ensemble dedicated to uplifting families, uniting people across cultures, and sharing God’s love through musical excellence and heartfelt service. Their motto—"Learn, Encourage, Give, Affirm, and Teach Others to LoVE" (LEGATO LoVE)—beautifully expresses the heart behind the harmony.
