WSU Kitsap Sustainable Living and Develop Coord.
As the Kitsap County Sustainable Living and Development Coordinator, I help individuals and communities understand how everyday choices connect across larger living systems. My work focuses on how we access, use, preserve, and recover resources—especially food—through a lens of resilience, cost, and environmental impact.
Using research-based education, I connect food systems to soil health, water quality, nutrition, and waste reduction. From food access and preservation to the food recovery hierarchy and composting options, I support a shift from “use and discard” toward more cyclical, regenerative practices, including natural cleaning and yard care that reduce chemical dependence and lower costs.
