Every neighborhood in the Municipality of Anchorage is in a Community Council district. The 37 Community Councils that make up Anchorage provide a direct and continuing means of citizen participation in government and local affairs.

The Federation of Community Councils, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose Board is made up of the representatives of each of Anchorage’s Community Councils.
