The Greater Philadelphia Professionals Chapter (GPPC) was chartered in February 1989 as one of the first chapters for NSBE alumni/professionals. Since its inception, the chapter has developed annual programs that support the minority and professional communities in the Philadelphia area. The chapter has provided a variety of technical and professional seminars, performed student outreach activities, hosted community service events, and awarded scholarships to college students pursuing degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics). GPPC is part of Region 2 and works closely with the collegiate chapters in Region 2 that comprise the “Danger Zone” (Southeastern Pennsylvania & Delaware).
