Black Legacy Advancement Coalition
The Mission
The Black Legacy Advancement Coalition is a movement that builds Black power by providing education and resources that uplift our communities.
Our Vision
- Eradicate systemic inequities that disproportionately impact Black communities.
- Achieve diversity, equity and inclusiveness for Black Americans in all sectors.
- Secure the civil rights and liberties of all Black people.
- Advocate for social and economic policies that will substantially improve the lived conditions and experiences of Black people universally.
As a movement, our passion is driven by legacy-creation and healing. While we strive toward a bold and powerful vision, we are clear that our efforts require a commitment that spans generations. We are committed to successively building onto a generational legacy of inheritance derived from the foundational accomplishments of our transformative ancestors.
Our Values
- The Coalition envisions a world in which people of African descent across the globe have access to:
- Knowledge: The ability to access education and training in order to secure one’s career path of choice and the building blocks towards a better future.
- Wealth Building: Obtaining the mindset and tools necessary to create generational wealth in order to establish a financially-secured legacy.
- Mental wellness: To seed provisions that reinforce the unalienable human rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by first securing one’s mental health and stability.
- Physical Wellness: Fostering cultures that embrace a healthy lifestyle, engaging the human body to perform at its highest level.
Action and activism are engaged as our fundamental modalities that combat the impacts of systemic racism and entrenched oppression still working against Blackness in our communities. Secured by hope and an unwavering commitment to the struggle, our strategic partnerships, community collaborations and intentional programming are the anchors in our missional work for a more just society. We are forging paths that contribute to a more secure and equitable future for the Black children of tomorrow.
