The German American Society of Portland, founded in 1871, is a 501(c)(3) organized for the charitable purposes of promoting the valuable elements of German culture, heritage, arts, and language - home of the German Language Program of Portland's Saturday school for students of all ages from beginners to advanced wanting to learn German language, history, and culture.
