Joseph’s passion for real estate began when he bought his first home back in 2003. Being only 20 years old, he didn’t know much about buying or owning a home.

Since then, Joseph has immersed himself in learning as much as possible about every facet of real estate. Shortly after his first purchase, he began renovating and improving the home. This led to his first endeavor in real estate: real estate flipping. After a couple of successful flips, he decided to pursue obtaining his real estate license and successfully passed the state real estate exam in 2007. He continued to flip houses until about 2009 after the real estate market crashed.

Once the real estate market crashed, and he was “stuck” with flip homes he couldn’t sell, he had some tough decisions to make. Unfortunately, this led to some of these houses being sold as short sales or foreclosures. However, there was a silver lining. Some of the properties made sense to transition to rental investment properties. He now was on another path in real estate investing, passive cashflow through rental real estate.

With a partner, Joseph was able to acquire more rental properties and learn the ins and outs of rental property management.

By 2011, the dust had settled, and Joseph decided he wanted to leave his career as a crane operator behind to pursue real estate sales full time. So he and his family decided to begin planning to move from Illinois to Florida. By February 2012, Joseph sold the farm, so to speak, and along with his family had relocated to Florida to pursue a full-time career as a real estate salesperson.

Joseph began selling real estate full time by the end of 2012 and has been a licensed Realtor in the State of Florida since.

In 2015, Joseph started The Miranda Team and began building a real estate team to not only leverage his experience but also to train agents to sell real estate “the right way.”

By 2018, Joseph began to feel he was paying more in fees and splits than his fair share, so he began writing a business plan and calculating numbers to see if there might be a better and more profitable way for agents. His philosophy was, if an agent pays fewer fees and keeps more of their own money, they will have more money to reinvest in themselves and their business, and everyone can make more money. Not all brokerages have that mindset. Additionally, beginning in real estate can be stressful, and money should not be a large stress factor for agents.

By 2019, he opened his first brokerage. Joseph’s vision of a real estate company that offers more value than it takes is now active and running with Miranda Executive Realty. Through lots of trial and error, Joseph has built a company that offers everything an agent needs to succeed, at a fraction of what it would cost them to obtain those same tools on their own. Additionally, he offers training and coaching to the agents at his office to ensure they are doing business the right way, legally, ethically, and morally.

Because of his vast investment experience and knowledge, Joseph attracts real estate investors that he also guides in purchasing investment properties. In 2020, he realized some of the management companies he believed would take care of his customer’s properties through management were not doing so. So in 2020, Joseph, with his wife Jennifer, started Trustwise Property Management. A company that requires no advertising or marketing because of Joseph’s commitment to his customers who profit and continue to purchase more properties for them to manage.

With his experience and success, Joseph believes he is the right person to guide and coach agents not only in business success but also personal success. He would consider himself a stable and reliable source of knowledge in the real estate world.

Joseph has three children with his wife he has been with since 2001, one son who proudly serves in the US Marines, and two daughters who continually achieve honor roll status in middle school and high school.
