Phillip Fleming constructs graphic novels inspired by the histories of African and Caribbean cultures using themes of slavery, vampires, pandemics, and war. HIs titles include Lost Jerusalem, Rooted, and Blood and Irons, and his latest webcomic, Black Ghost. Currently, Philip Fleming is on the faculty at Kennesaw State University where he teaches sequential art. He earned his MFA in Comics at the California College of the Arts and his BFA in Sequential Art at the Savannah College of Art and Design.
