Attention Deficit Awareness of Minnesota (A-D-A-M)
A-D-A-M is Central Minnesota’s attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder resource center, forging innovative and respectful links between individuals, organizations and professionals.
- Service Area: Currently serving Minnesota – Benton, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Sherburne, Stearns, Todd and Wright counties. The organization will expand as the need is indicated and as funding is available.
- Organization: The original A-D-A-M began in January 1995 as a program of the St. Cloud Area Family YMCA. Due to the ever-increasing demand for more information on ADHD, the program spun off from the YMCA in December 1997 to form the new independent not-for-profit organization A-D-A-M, Attention Deficit Awareness of Minnesota, Inc.
- What We Offer: The organization does not provide direct services. A-D-A-M provides information and education resources on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and related behavioral, educational, medical and social issues that may accompany the disorder.
- Non-Profit: A-D-A-M is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization and receives funding through grants, fund-raising, gifts and donations. Dollars can also be designated through United Way of Central Minnesota.
