Queen City Music Studios was founded by Molly Rose Murphy in 2015 with a few voice students at her home studio. Queen City Music Studios established an LLC in 2018, as an alternative school of music specializing in learning by ear. Over a decade later, QCMS employs over a dozen teaching artists and hosts special events at their Studios and Shop in Downtown Staunton, as well as at partnering venues with local organizations and co-producing individuals. Queen City Music Studios co-produces a bi-annual Music Festival, Staunton Jams, alongside The Judy Chops, and Staunton Media Alliance's WQSV 106.3, our local community radio station.
