2. Mission Statement for the Organizer's Profile:

• CUNY Law's Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA) is dedicated to empowering Latinx law students and allies to become effective advocates for marginalized and working-class communities. We strive to:

o Provide a supportive space for Latinx students to thrive academically and professionally;

o Develop and harness legal and advocacy skills to address the needs of Latinx people;

o Collaborate with communities to challenge systemic inequities affecting people of color and the working poor;

o Promote education and skill-building among our members and the wider community; and

o Utilize our collective skills, capacities, and resources to effect positive social change.

• Through events like LALSAween, we aim to celebrate our culture and foster connections that strengthen our ability to create lasting impact in the legal field and beyond.
