Originally called the Chicago Press Veterans organization, the respected, nonprofit Chicago Journalists Association is one of Chicago's oldest organizations of journalists. The association was founded in 1939 by journalists who met at the World’s Columbian Exposition, and today continues its mission of rewarding journalistic excellence and providing area journalists comradeship.
