Sam Simmons has over 35 years of experience specializing in practical, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed strategies to support Black men and their families. He is respected nationwide for his vision, leadership, and successful “Community Empowerment Through Black Men Healing Conference.” Additionally, he authored a new book "Just Sam: A Black Man's Journey to Healing," which explores the impact of trauma on Black men. Sam also co-hosts the "Voices" radio show on 89.9 KMOJ FM, which addresses community issues. Recently, he received the NAMI 2024 Minnesota Professional of the Year Award.
