We are committed to elevating emerging artists by showcasing their work alongside established artists in an environment that fosters mentorship, professional growth, and community engagement. Gallery Reimagined, founded in 2023 by Baltimore native Khateeta Emerson, represents a culmination of a lifelong journey intertwining science and art. Khateeta's path, marked by a deep-rooted passion for science and an inherent connection to art through her family, led her from a successful career as a chemical engineer to the creation of Gallery Reimagined. Her extensive experience in organic chemistry and engineering, notably contributing to significant pharmaceutical advancements, including an antiviral for COVID-19, provided her with a unique perspective on creativity and problem-solving. Upon retiring and after a year of extensive travel and reconnection with her roots, Khateeta's engagement with her community and a spontaneous art exhibition in her home sparked the realization of her true calling. Inspired by her family members, who are musicians, illustrators, photographers, and architects, she decided to build a program dedicated to nurturing emerging artists, celebrating creativity, and building a community through art. Located in Baltimore's historic Little Italy neighborhood, near the inner harbor, Gallery Reimagined offers more than just art exhibitions. Our gallery serves as a hub for interactive experiences, combining art displays with discussions on important art topics. We focus on making art accessible to everyone, encouraging local residents to become art collectors and supporters of our local arts economy. Gallery Reimagined is a place where everyone can engage with art, helping to build a strong community connection to the arts, and fostering a culturally rich future.
