Our Mission

There are 147,000 small and medium business in Maine and all of them, eventually, will be affected by climate change. Many of those businesses own buildings, equipment and vehicles, and buy products from across the globe.

Growing numbers of them want to better understand the effects of climate change, plan for the future and be part of the solution.

CLIMATEWORK MAINE is an organization that is set up to give them the information and support that they need, and to connect them with others who share their willingness to take action.

We believe that the future success of our businesses – and the success of the state overall – is directly tied to our ability to reduce and adapt to climate change and to embrace new ideas, new companies, and new technologies that help preserve the character and quality of Maine, and attract and retain new talent and investments across all of Maine.
