Prototype 237 an artist built, artist run, creative arts hub in Paterson, New Jersey that houses a wildly awesome stage-- the center piece of a collaborative co-living community. In five years, Prototype has hosted more than 500 performances, residencies, readings, and workshops of music, poetry, dance, theater, improvisation, and cinema. We draw inspiration from each other and our environment, harnessing that inspiration to make art, perform, and navigate life. Our residents and core community bring together their values, personalities, and skill sets to create an inclusive environment that is both enriching and productive. We exchange perspectives as much as creative processes.
