Senior Resource Council of Colorado Springs

Senior Resource Council of Colorado Springs

Founded in 1988 by community leader Joe Henjum, the Senior Resource Council (SRC) was created to unite professionals, organizations, and businesses dedicated to improving the lives of older adults throughout the Pikes Peak region.

Joe’s vision was simple yet transformative: to build a network where collaboration, education, and compassion would strengthen the services and support available to the aging community. He believed that when people and organizations work together, they not only improve care—they elevate the entire community. That belief continues to guide the Senior Resource Council today.

For more than three decades, SRC has grown into a vibrant professional association that empowers members through education, resources, and connection. Our network includes hundreds of senior-serving professionals, nonprofits, and businesses—spanning healthcare, housing, social services, and community engagement—all united by a shared commitment to quality, compassion, and innovation in aging.

Guided by our mission to build the capacity of senior-serving organizations and professionals through education, resources, and collaboration—driving innovation and improving outcomes for the aging community, we are proud to serve as a hub for continuing education, professional development, and meaningful partnerships that strengthen the fabric of senior care across the Pikes Peak region.

Together, we are creating a thriving region where empowered professionals and organizations champion innovative, collaborative solutions that transform how our community supports and celebrates aging.
