Feminist Bird Club Buffalo Chapter

Feminist Bird Club Buffalo Chapter

The Feminist Bird Club was formed in 2016 by Molly Adams in NYC. Since then, nine additional chapters have formed around the US and internationally. The Feminist Bird Club is dedicated to promoting inclusivity in birding while fundraising and providing a safe opportunity for members of the LGBTQIA+ community, BIPOC, and women to connect with the natural world. We welcome birders of all levels and strive to provide an environment that is helpful in learning more about birds and the places they need. Visit www.feministbirdclub.org for more information on the parent organization.

The Buffalo Chapter of the Feminist Bird Club has held numerous walks since its formation in September 2019 . Areas we've gone birding include: Buckhorn Island State Park, Red Jacket Riverfront Park, Delaware Park, Black Rock Canal Park, Beaver Island State Park, MLK Jr. Park, Tifft Nature Preserve, Stiglmeier Park and a boat cruise on the Buffalo River. Our Instagram page is @fbc.buf if you'd like to follow. We do not currently have our own website. The co-chairs of the Buffalo Chapter are - Lauren Makeyenko, and Molly Dreyer.
