Welcome To The Northside
About #WelcomeToTheNorthside: Celebrating 50 Years of U2
10 Years of Community. One City. One Band.
What started in 2015 as a spontaneous pop-up tribute at The Church on Jervis Street has grown into a global phenomenon. When U2 took up residence in the 3Arena back then, we saw fans traveling from every corner of the world to "pilgrimage" to the city that gave birth to the band. We wanted to give them a place to land, a place to connect, and a place to feel the true Dublin spirit—and so, #WelcomeToTheNorthside was born.
For ten years, we have served as the unofficial home-base for the international U2 fan community. We’ve gone from humble pop-up gatherings to landmark festival weekends, but our mission remains unchanged: to celebrate the music, the history, and the enduring connection that brings us all to Dublin.
Why We’re Here
As I told Hot Press back in our early days, the magic wasn't just in the music—it was in the fans. After witnessing hundreds of people finding community in our early events, I knew we had to make this an annual tradition. Whether you are hearing the songs you expect or discovering fan-loved deep cuts and hidden gems, our events are designed for the fans who want to hear the music done properly.
We don't just put on gigs; we curate experiences where the atmosphere is electric, the community is global, and the respect for the catalogue is absolute.
#U250: The Biggest Celebration Yet
2026 marks 50 years of U2, and we are pulling out all the stops for #U250.
