PARIVARBAYAREA SF

Parivar Bay Area is the nation’s only trans-led organization centering South Asian and Global South transgender, gender non-conforming, and intersex (TGNCI) immigrants and asylees, including Hijrah, Kinnar, and AAPI communities. Rooted in cultural resilience and immigrant justice, Parivar advances advocacy, direct services, arts, culture, and leadership development to confront systemic injustices and reclaim dignity, resilience, and power for marginalized communities. Its mission and vision focus on building bold, affirming spaces where TGNCI immigrants thrive locally and globally, free from systemic barriers and celebrated for their leadership.

Parivar’s programs reflect this mission across four core areas: intersectional advocacy, immigrant support, capacity building, and economic empowerment. Programs include using arts, culture, and policy to advance transgender advocacy; offering rapid response, symposiums, and case referrals for immigrant support; building leadership pipelines and holistic care systems for TGNCI individuals; and fostering entrepreneurship and employment opportunities through global livelihood projects. At its core, Parivar is committed to uplifting the most marginalized voices, centering TGNCI immigrant experiences, and advancing racial, economic, and gender justice.
