Ngoma y'Africa Cultural Center

Ngoma y'Africa Cultural Center (NACC) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization established in the year 2016.

We are dedicated to teaching the community about African cultures and to creating a support network for African descent families in Utah.

At our center, we offer the following programs:

EDUCATION about African cultures through storytelling, history, music, arts & crafts, poetry, cuisine, and languages spoken in Africa such as French, Kinyarwanda, Zulu, Lingala, and Swahili. We offer educational classes and workshops.

EXPERIENCE Africa through cultural events such as stage performances; our annual African Heritage Festival; presentations at school assemblies, churches, corporations, marriages; and holiday celebrations such as Black History Month, Christmas, Juneteenth, and Kwanzaa.

EMPOWER our community by offering resources for cultural integration, youth mentorship, financial literacy, health promotion, and economic development such as creating partnership opportunities between African entrepreneurs and Utah businesses.

COMMUNICATE through Ubuntu Series which are monthly community conversations on diversity, equity, and inclusion with a purpose to heal and to unite ourselves, our communities, our nations, and the world.

At our culture learning center, we aim to create a safe environment where different cultures come together in the African spirit of UBUNTU of diversity, humanity, unity, partnership, collaboration, and inclusion.
