SAO Stroke Awareness Oregon
Stroke Awareness Oregon (SAO) is a nonprofit dedicated to minimizing death and disability from stroke through education, prevention, and survivor support. Founded by stroke survivors, physicians, and community leaders, SAO works to ensure individuals and families know how to recognize the signs of stroke and respond quickly when it happens.
Through community education programs, outreach events, and survivor resources, SAO empowers communities with the knowledge that time is critical when it comes to stroke. The organization also supports stroke survivors and their families through recovery resources, partnerships, and support networks designed to help stroke warriors rebuild their lives.
By bringing together healthcare providers, businesses, and community members, Stroke Awareness Oregon is working to build a more informed and prepared community—because recognizing stroke quickly can save lives and protect the future of those affected.
