The South Florida Police Benevolent Association is the support for Law Enforcement in the Miami-Dade and Monroe County area. Events hosted by the South Florida PBA are to raise money for the non-profit charity the Love Fund, Inc. The fund has been used to assist with funerals of officers killed in the line of duty, education for the children of slain officers and psychological counseling for officers and their immediate family members dealing with work-related stress. It has helped officers facing almost any catastrophe imaginable — whether illness, damage to their homes or other abnormalities that threaten their ability to serve the community.

The Love Fund depends on PBA special events and outside contributions for its success. It is a federally recognized charitable organization [501(c)(3)] and contributions to it are tax deductible to the extent the law allows.
