The Herb Society of America—Baton Rouge Unit

The Baton Rouge Unit of The Herb Society of America began in 1989 as The Baton Rouge Herb Study Group. In 1991, the group became an official unit of HSA and is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational organization. The unit’s mission is to promote the knowledge, use, and delight of herbs through educational programs, research, and sharing the experience of our members with the Community.

Meetings are held at the Burden Conference Center at LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens, located at 4560 Essen Lane, Baton Rouge, LA. Unless otherwise announced, all meetings start at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Thursday of the month from January through May and August through October, with special programs and other educational events during June and July.

Visitors and guests are welcome to attend our programs; admission is free for members of the Herb Society of America, $5.00 for non-members.
