First Hour Grief Recovery's mission is to help people navigate the sudden passing of a loved one. We host an annual luncheon each year to help fund scholarships for people in need of one-to-one mentoring or who wish to attend our free grief support groups. Other fundraising events include an annual golf outing, The Ben Koier Memorial Golf Outing held on August 3, 2026 and the Angel Walk, to honor the lives of unborn babies who have passed due to miscarriage, those born sleeping and infant loss. This year's Angel Walk is on October 10th at Waterfront Park in Louisville. KY at the Brown-Forman Amphitheater.
