After five years of researching the history of Washington, D.C. as a local journalist, I wrote and published my debut best-selling book, Black Broadway in Washington, D.C.

I'm passionate about the heritage and legacy of U Street and love to share the rich and inspiring story with others. My research has been featured on television news programs such as ABC, NBC and CBS. I've also presented the history of U Street to various companies, book clubs, non-profits, youth groups and schools.
