I currently am a hairstylist based in Queens, NY. I also sell my wig units online, both machine made and custom wigs that can be found in my Wig Collection. I’m currently building my brand now, but the vision that I have for it in the near future is to show the versatility and uniqueness that wig units offer. No one is really getting sew ins now, everyone is into the switch up. I’ve had clients who never wore wigs or weave in general, and when I do installs for them they feel different, beautiful, like a whole new person, and I love that.
I’ve been into hair since I was 8 years old, so this was always something I liked to do. Now over the years I took interest in other career paths, even when I was in school for cosmetology. For example, I thought about nursing, graphic designing, and law, but in the end I always found myself going back to hair because it was fun for me. It wasn’t until I was volunteering in a salon to get work experience that was required to get my license that I realized this is something I want to do everyday. Around this time I was 17 years old and I really starting taking it seriously. As for the wig units it was something I did for myself because I was a college student who didn’t have time to do my own hair and keep up with my natural hair regime. It wasn’t until other people started complementing me and asking for wigs units that I then decided to offer them as a service. The rest is history.
I love that I can show my creative side, which can really be seen in my wig collection that I love to play with color. Every wig I made and colored myself, and to me that’s what makes me stand out from the next person. Many talent stylist can mimic and redo a color that was already done. However, to create something out the box and do a hairstyle or hair color that no one has seen that shows real talent. That’s why I look up to stylist such as Arrogant Tae, Cynthia Lumzy, and Jonathan Wright, because you just never know what they’re going to do next.
