Leona Richards-Bishop, LPC-S is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Board-Certified TeleHealth Therapist, and founder of Count It All Joy Counseling Services, bringing over 25 years of experience across mental health, school, and private practice settings. She specializes in integrating advanced psychotherapy strategies to help individuals heal from trauma, strengthen self-leadership, and cultivate lasting emotional wellness.

An EMDRIA-approved EMDR therapist, IFS-Informed EMDR Consultant and National Board Certified Counselor, Leona is a recognized leader in the counseling profession. She will be the next President of the Mississippi Counseling Association and served as a former co-chair for the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors.

Her work has been recognized through numerous honors, including MCA Outstanding Clinical Mental Health Counselor of the Year, reflecting her excellence in clinical practice, leadership, and service. She has also contributed to the profession through mentorship and supervision of clinicians, helping to strengthen the next generation of counselors.

A dynamic presenter and trainer, Leona is available for national speaking engagements on trauma, counselor wellness, emotional regulation, and Internal Family Systems. She is the author of Journey to Joy: A Therapeutic Guide and Journal for Emotional Wellness and Prissy Lee’s Fancy Feet, extending her impact beyond the counseling room through resources that inspire healing, resilience, and joy.

Leona is also launching a series of skill-building workshops held on Fifth- Fridays throughout the year. The inaugural workshop, “The Power of Play: Reclaiming Joy to Build Resilience,” will take place on May 30. In a world that often rewards exhaustion and constant seriousness, this work creates space to reclaim play as a scientifically grounded, emotionally intelligent tool for restoring resilience, regulating the nervous system, and reigniting joy.
