Old Stone House & Washington Park
The Old Stone House & Washington Park, a member of the Historic House Trust of New York City, was originally built in 1699. The House was an active farm for nearly 100 years. Also a site of the 1776 Battle of Brooklyn, OSH today is committed to telling the story of not only the American soldiers and their sacrifices but of enslaved people and Brooklyn’s original indigenous inhabitants, and of today’s diverse Brooklyn communities. OSH also aims to foster a thriving neighborhood and environment through an active garden and education and community programs.
