Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated
The Links, Incorporated is dedicated to the advancement of youth, families, and
underserved communities. Nationally, The Links include more than 17,000 civic-minded women. In
Chicago, the Lake Shore (IL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated delivers services primarily to economically
challenged youth, adults, and families on the west side of Chicago. Members of the Lake Shore (IL) Chapter
work every month to provide various community services because we believe that everyone should have
the opportunity to reach their full potential.
For the last 30 years, the Lake Shore (IL) Chapter has created and implemented programs that focus on
education, health initiatives, arts enrichment, and mentoring. The Chapter has partnered with Chicago Public
Schools, ETA Creative Arts Center, Salvation Army, Better Boys Foundation, Haitian Consulate, South Chicago
Dance Theatre, National Kidney Foundation of Illinois, and many others to deliver programs of service on
Chicago’s west side. Additionally, since the Chapter’s inception, they have provided scholarships and financial
support to deserving students, valued at more than $500,000.
