The US Cyber Challenge is provided by the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and its goal is to identify America's best and brightest in cybersecurity to plug them into the cybersecurity workforce. The USCC partners with the Cyber Quest Competition to identify those who are eligible to attend the annual USCC Cyber Camps held each summer.
The USCC Cyber Camps are one week of specialized cybersecurity training that includes workshops, a job fair, and culminates in a “Capture the Flag” competition. The workshops are led by college faculty, top SANS Institute instructors, and cybersecurity experts from the community. The workshops and presentations focus on a variety of topics ranging from intrusion detection, penetration testing and forensics. Participants can also participate in a job fair that provides them the opportunity to meet with USCC sponsors and discuss potential employment.
This year, 2020, the winners of the “Capture the Flag” competition will be invited to be recognized in the Fall 2020 in Washington, DC. In addition, the winners of the Regional CTF will be invited to a National CTF in the fall as well.
