Chef Laurie Boucher is an attorney-turned–pasta chef and former Pasta Chef at Café Campli—named Baltimore’s Best Italian Restaurant in 2024. The restaurant has since relocated to Italy, where Chef Laurie has been invited to return as a guest pasta chef.
Chef Laurie is also the creator of an original pasta shape featured on Season 4 of The Bear, highlighting her creativity and deep understanding of traditional and modern pasta techniques.
Since 2018, Chef Laurie has been teaching the art of pasta making through her business, Pasta Made Simple. She offers private instruction, team-building experiences, and hands-on workshops in partnership with local businesses and venues throughout Baltimore, Washington, DC, Delaware, Ocean City, and coastal communities across the Mid-Atlantic region. Her classes are known for being approachable, engaging, and rooted in both tradition and technique.
In addition to her workshops, Chef Laurie contributes to academic programming and nonprofit culinary initiatives, using food as a way to educate, connect, and give back to the community.
Chef Laurie holds dual Associate of Applied Science degrees, with honors, in Culinary Arts and Baking & Pastry Arts from the Hotel, Culinary Arts, and Tourism Institute at Anne Arundel Community College. She is a Certified Culinarian and Certified Pastry Chef through the American Culinary Federation and holds ServSafe certifications in both food safety and alcohol service.
Her pasta workshops are presented throughout Maryland, Delaware, and the greater Mid-Atlantic region.
