Younger Chemists Committee (NSYCC)

Younger Chemists Committee (NSYCC)

The Northeastern Section Younger Chemists Committee (NSYCC) is the younger-chemist community of the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society (NESACS), serving chemists across Eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and the Greater Boston area.

NSYCC advocates for professional development and helps undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career chemists build connections, strengthen scientific and professional skills, and explore career pathways across academia, industry, government laboratories, and related fields. We welcome ACS members and anyone who identifies as a younger chemist, including those who are still establishing their careers regardless of age.

Our events include the annual Northeast Student Chemistry Research Conference (NSCRC), research presentations and poster sessions, career and professional-development webinars, workshops, industry tours, networking and social events, international scientific and cultural exchanges, and chemistry outreach. Programs span organic, inorganic, analytical, physical, biological, theoretical, green, and chemical education.

Whether you want to present research, meet chemists in Boston, explore career options, find mentors, volunteer, or become more involved with ACS, NSYCC offers a welcoming professional community beyond your laboratory, department, or company.
