At The Mix, the mission is to bring the world of culinary arts to the community, offering an inclusive environment where everyone—from beginners to seasoned cooks—can explore the joys of cooking. The Mix provides a variety of experiences, including community service opportunities, professional development courses, and a wide range of cooking classes.

The Mix is committed to maintaining high standards by being professional, and knowledgeable, and offering exceptional hospitality. Guests are not just participants; they are friends, family, and neighbors.

Classes at The Mix fall under five key categories:

Cooking Fundamentals: Master the basics like knife skills, healthy entrees, and mother sauces.

Regional and Specialty: Delve into ethnic and regional cuisines, special diets, or specific skills like preserving and gastronomy.

Wine and Beverage: Explore the world of wine, cocktails, and other beverages.

Baking and Pastry: Hone your skills in baking and dessert creation.

Classes are offered in two formats:

Hands-On Cooking Classes: Participants actively engage in the cooking process, working in pairs or groups to interpret and execute recipes. Instructors ensure that each class runs efficiently, guiding participants and offering encouragement as they chop, dice, sauté, and more.

Demonstration Classes: In a more intimate setting, guests gather around the instructor's workstation to watch, learn, and ask questions as a multi-course meal is prepared. This interactive experience allows participants to see every step of the cooking process, from start to finish, before enjoying the delicious results.

At The Mix, the focus is on not just teaching cooking, but also fostering a sense of community, creativity, and culinary exploration.
