Founded in 1989, Legacy Cares is a 501(c)(3) that provides affordable and quality mental healthcare, substance abuse treatment, and housing services to people living with HIV and AIDS. Today, Legacy is the largest and primary provider of HIV-specific programming in North Texas.

Legacy Cares currently consists of 5 different programs:

• Counseling Center- offers individual, couples/family/group counseling with 24/7 emergency on-call services and a walk-in crisis clinic; individual/group substance abuse programs.

• Grace Project- a year-round women-specific program, producing the largest conference for women with HIV

• Founders Cottage - a special-care housing facility providing respite and end-of-life care for the critically ill

• Homebase for Housing- a housing referral service homebaseforhousing.org

• Master Leasing - a transitional housing program
