Shange Jaara Lilaa, formerly known as Bee Nicole, fell in love with the arts at a young age and was motivated to serve those in need. She attended the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Sociology. Shortly after, Shange became a Lead Teacher working with students with physical, emotional, behavioral, and learning disabilities. Shange acquired her Community Health Worker Certification from Prince George's Community College and became a Community Health Work Adjunct Professor shortly after. She has committed herself to use the arts to help her community achieve holistic health, improve their quality of life, and address public health needs.

Shange believes artistic expression CAN encourage wellness, create a sense of purpose, and HEAL. She is determined to produce universal safe spaces that integrate complementary and alternative modalities to ensure her "soul tribe" are spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, and creatively invigorated and motivated to strengthen community capacity.
