The Center for Advanced Imaging Innovation and Research (abbreviated CAI2R, pronounced care) is a National Center for Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering supported by the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) and operated by NYU Langone Health.

We bring together scientists, engineers, and clinicians to discover new ways of seeing and to translate advances in biomedical imaging into leading-edge tools in clinical radiology.

Our research is primarily focused on making imaging faster, more intelligent, and more flexible in order to deliver new or better information to clinicians, enable earlier diagnosis, guide treatment more effectively, and improve patient safety and comfort.
