Founded in 1988, Women In Non Traditional Employment Roles (WINTER) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women, youth, and underserved communities through career training, workforce development, and supportive services. WINTER prepares participants for successful careers in the construction, transportation, utilities, and other skilled trade industries by providing hands-on training, certifications, mentorship, job placement assistance, and life-skills support.

For more than 38 years, WINTER has worked to break barriers and create economic opportunities for women entering nontraditional careers. Through strong partnerships with labor unions, employers, community organizations, and public agencies, WINTER helps participants achieve self-sufficiency, financial stability, and long-term career success.

WINTER’s mission is to inspire confidence, build pathways to employment, and transform lives by opening doors to high-wage, high-demand careers.
